Things have been a bit quiet on the website recently. That’s because we’ve been very busy performing at festivals and carnivals throughout the summer. The montage below shows some of the events we played at over the last year. According to our records we played at 20 events between the 5th of May and the 23rd of September including Wychwood, Womad and Shambala festivals, St Paul’s Carnival, Bath Carnival, Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival, and a great time at Tropicana Funland at Weston Super Mare. We’ve also run a series of workshops for the Clifton College Summer School in the gaps.
We’ve just started back with our drum and dance classes. It’s great to see so many new people and more are always welcome. We’ve got performances booked for October, November and and three in December so any plans for a bit of quiet time are going to be short lived.

As well as Facebook and Twitter we’re now active on Instagram. Facebook is still the largest social media site, Instagram is rapidly catching up and Twitter is slipping down the charts with some predicting its demise. We’re still gaining followers though.
The African Sambistas are a Bristol percussion and dance group, new members are always welcome. Just turn up at our drum or dance classes.
